ECU swap

Hi I got a W204 C200 CDI and I was thinking of swapping the ECU with a W220 CDI one.
Is it possible?

Are you trying to get more power? Or does the car have a fault that you're hoping an ECU swap will fix?

If you want more power look into a remap.

If you have a fault get it looked at by either a decent indy or Merc specialist.

I'm just looking to get more power and since I saw that the c220 and the c200 are basically the same engine just with a "better" tuned ECU I thought it would be easier to just swap it instead of remapping

The new ECU would need coding to your car anyway so easier to get a remap.

As far as I know the C200 cdi only has a single turbo and the C220 cdi has twin turbos.

I know the previous E220 and E250 MCU variant coding can be changed easily if you know what your doing, but the kit to it with is more expensive than a remap.

A decent remap will be better than a ecu swap anyway
