Are there any recommended indies in the Lothians?

Howard Selby in North Berwick.

Have a great Ex Mercedes Tech in Stirling Area if anyone needs work done on their merc

Bring it to Glasgow to my indie. He is the best Merc Indy in Scotland by far. 0141 951 4447 ask for Steven. If it's for your 500 , he knows them inside out

I think I've commented on this type of post from you before.

I think others have as well.

I'd be concerned as to the validity of something expressed this way as it smells more of brash promotion of a friend or associated business than fair and balanced opinion.

Very simply. We as a family have owned Mercs since the early 1960s. In that time,my grandfather , father , uncles etc have owned lots of them, right from SL through Sclass and many more. We have dealt with dealers from all over the country and a few indies too. If it seems I go on about how good my Indy is, that is because he is. Do you question those who say how good Olly is ? Can't seem to recall that. All I am doing is mentioning to anyone in the area that my guy is very good at all things Merc. I have nothing to gain as you may think. All I'm doing is telling people how well he can deal with your car.
So , I invite you to keep making your irrelevant comments.

No comparison: your indy doesn't appear to regularly contribute to the forum and doesn't have testimonials from many many satisfied members.

Does that mean your indy is bad? No it doesn't.

But 'best in Scotland by far' is a pretty strong assertion and not one to be seriously made unless you have actually assessed every other indy in Scotland.

And here's guessing ............ you haven't.

He has had plenty customers coming from all over Scotland who have been to other indies who could not fix their cars properly.
I'm going to leave it there now. You stick to whoever looks after your cars.
