Car
hers - slk 320, his - dull diesel BMW fleet :/, Xtrail, Honda CBR 1100xx, Yamaha YZF600, Ribble Road
She sailed through her MOT - bless - but tyres as I thought were close to the limit - so she needs new boots.:p

She's done nigh on 26k miles on a single set of Pilot Premacy. MB have quoted £572 fitted for a full set of the same.

sizes:

205/55/16 91W front
225/50/16 92W rear

Thoughts please?

Thats the 0-60 runs that finished them off I reckon...:D

Shop around and you will probably be able to beat the Stealer's quote...;)

May work out cheaper to source the tyres on line yourself (they deliver anywhere you like) and get Stealer to install them or any other Wheel/Tyre Specialist. Just make sure that your alloys do not get damaged in the process!!!

Only advantage of getting Stealership to install the new tyres is that IF they damage the alloys in the process then they shall have to replace them with brand new alloys IF you have taken pics with a digital camera (with time/date) prior to the installation ;)

I think I paid about £25 for two to be fitted new valves and balanced etc when I got my last tyres from them..they sent them directly to Tyre services for me.

Michelin is the only brand Costco sell.
As a member annualy you recieve a voucher for four tyres so I purchased 4 pilot primacy HP for £376 fitted. Sounds like a deal to me.:)

Not a member of Costco:( nearest one to us is Leeds, do they fit as well then? How do you become a member?

Try this : http://www.costco.co.uk/default.htm

I'm a member with my old man and we split the cost. Its £30 for the year for dual membership so it works out cheaper instead of single membership.

At the moment Michellin have a promotion which can be used at Costco, The details are here :

Thanks so much for the Michelin voucher - I can get £30 of Sainsbury's vouchers - nice one:D

Off to investigate joining Costco - thought you had to be a business though - or is it a "ways and means" type scenario:rolleyes:

Nope, you can be either business or domestic. I'm not sure about membership price but with a trade account the opening hours are longer. ie. you can get in earlier but TBH they rarely check !

Just take with you the relevant ID (take 3 just in case).

Right - will deffo investigate the Costco thing - but for now have ordered through blackcircles as they'll fit on Saturday Morning just up the road:rock: and I get £30 back to spend in Sainsburys - should cover a bottle of Bombay Saphhire and Pimms with some tonic and lemonade - good deal:D

Thanks for the help chaps:bannana:

Jay - thanks I'm getting full set of W rated Michelin Pilot Premacy fitted for £425 (plus £30 voucher to spend in Sainsburys) I've had the same ones on for the past 26k miles and they've done well so I'm sticking with them.;)

Hmm the P7s sound interesting :) . I just looked them up and they look like a baby p-zero :)

Noooooooo!! P7's are not that wonderful.

Grip is OK but wear is not. Done about 15,000 miles on them and despite rotating all tyres just about had it. Another 1500 miles or so and they will have to go. Seem to be producing a lot more noise as they have worn and are now rather annoying
