Just purchased these lowering springs for my 1999 R129.
Has anyone used them before? Any pics if so?

Thanks in advance.

I don't know.
Just asking anyone who has experience installing these on his/her R129?

I have ordered a set, just wondering before I install them.

I had H&Rs for a while. Got fed up with the lack of ground clearance and went back to standard.

I thought so, thank you for the heads up!
If I ever decide to install after market adjustable shocks in the future, I'm guessing these springs should fit right?

Springs and dampers are mounted separately on the 129, so fitment compatibility to the shock body is not an issue.

Or do you mean height-adjustable dampers (i.e. coilover style)

No, that's not going to work unfortunately, the suspension on Mercedes of this generation is a little idiosyncratic.

The springs aren't really going to work with any other application, but more importantly the strut mounting points were never intended to bear the full weight of the car. For traditional coilovers, you're either hoping that Mercedes built enough leeway into the bodyshell (which is doubtful), or have to add reinforcement. There is limited height adjustment using the OE buffers in the stock spring cups, but not to the same extent.

Thank you very much.
I will go ahead and replace my springs and see what happens.

If I feel the car is too low, then I may consider a complete coil over kit in the future.

Time to install them, needed badly!
