Hi,
I Drive a 2001 mercedes E320 Cdi.
The first thing that happened was all electric windows stopped working.
Then I noticed the Rear courtesy light was not working, the electric mirrors not working, the boot lights not working and the remote boot lock not working.
The indicators work but when you lock the car remotely
They will not flash.
They flash when you unlock the car remotely.
I cannot get in to the boot as it will not open with the manual push button.

The Bulbs on the lights I have mentioned are fine.
The only Fuse box I can find is the one in the Engine compartment on Drivers side. They are all Ok.
Can someone tell me where to find the other fuses and relays if any so I may check them and procede from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank-you,
meeka.

Try the end of the dash with the drivers door open. There is a pull out panel there on a W203.

Sent from my iPhone using MBClub UK

Another fuse box in the boot behind the side trim and also one in the end of the dashboard, driver's side, just prise off the end panel exposed when you fully open the door. Should find a fuse map in there also.

Hi,
Thank-you,
I hoping the problem is with fuses i have access to.
I cannot get into the boot even manually. I was hoping the boot problem was related to the other electricial failures and would fix when I changed fuses.
Cheers,
meeka.

Test your alarm, not your car but same idea, see here… http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/electronics/169666-w202-how-test-car-alarm.html

Wait to see if the alarm siren sounds for 30 seconds and the hazards flash for 3 minutes, the system should then reset itself.

Have you tried the metal key blade in the boot lock?

Edit, if you cant open a window to test the alarm then lock yourself inside the car with the remote and wait 1 minute, then open the door or bonnet.

Hi,
Yes tried metal key but it will only go half way in, did not want to force it.
I try the other suggestion you made.
Thank-you.

Your main fuse box is under the driver's side rear passenger seat...this is also where you will find the battery.

There is not one in the boot.

Try some WD40 or a penetrating oil, spray right into the key hole, lock barrel seized up because of infrequent use.

But since the fuses and battery are under the rear passenger seat, concentrate on finding out what the problem is...then service the boot lock when you have time.

Hi,
Found the faultly fuse under back seat.
The back seat just lifts out to reveal Fuses and Battery.
All the electric problems solved.
Now new one.
The ABS warning light is showing on dash now. it seems to have happened after I changed the fuse for the other electric problems.
I still very pleased that I was helped with the initial problem.
Thank-you all.

What was the faulty fuse assigned to and was it blown?

It covered
Alarm.
Electric Mirrors.
Back interior light.
Boot lights.
Electric windows.
boot lock and boot release button.
I am happy to report all electrics working.
The mention electrics working.
The ABS warning light reset it self.
No Malfunctions.
Thank-you for all the posts.
