Electric seat stopped working

Hi all, just wondering if anyone can assist or has experianced the same fault ??
I have a SL350 2004 model, the front & back direction switch on the top of the drivers seat is no longer operational, (the passenger side is fine).Recently the battery was low (ive since replaced with new) and when trying to move the drivers seat forward to gain access to rear storage box behind the seat, the seat kept operating intermittently instead of a one push operation.
Does it need to be reset to function correctly ??

Resetting the seat should do the trick.
Move the seat fully forwards, then right back and hold the button for a few seconds.

Its usually just the windows and sunroof that need resetting after a battery change.

Could be a chaffing wire in the seat panel.
You can have the switch checked for functionability.
If it is the looming - seat needs to come out!
