Electronic lowering - no mechanical work required?

There are several 'lowering kits' about - not least Kleemans £2k+ option. They all seem to either move the position of the height sensors (cheap and nasty jobbie) or electronically fiddle the height.

I think the issue with all of them, including the more expensive, is that they permanently lower the ride height while connected by **mm - i.e the lowest setting is **mm lower than usual and the highest setting is **mm than usual. This can cause 2 issues - 1. if you need to raise your car to the max standard setting to get over an obstacle you no longer can; and 2. with the cheaper electronic models (and all that change the position of the sensors) the car tries to lower itself when going over 70(?) mph and this can cause fouling on the bodywork - I think the more expensive modules circumvent this somehow.

All the electronic modules are 'plu and play' so can be quickly removed if needed.

All the above is from other forum posts I have read - not got one myself!
