This and that.
Has anybody here used Yac or eFax (or an alternative)?

I need an additional phone line in my ivory tower, and it seems to me that to get one of these services would free up my existing fax line for a phone.

Are these services reliable/cost effective? I send few faxes (cos I live in the modern age, and I use email), but a receive a fair number.

TIA

I have used e-fax all over the world - good service and useful too for those who still require faxed documents.

We use eFaxPlus - not much to say really, it just works.
I would say practically never send faxes, but we receive a few per week and they usually have to be sent on to someone else, so having them in electronic format is extremely useful.

Being able to have incoming faxes sent to 5 email addresses is useful and also being able to choose an area code that's the same as our office was better than having some odd looking random code.

I have used YAC for about 5 years now, and it has never missed a beat. Never paid a cent for the service!

Hmm - they used to be free, as the incoming numbers were 0709, which allows them to make money off the rates...

I'd be going with a geographical number, so that's why I'd be paying...
