I'm hoping this is in the right place, if not let me know and I'll move it.
This is on a 2004 C220 cdi.
My question is.... Does the EML light re-set itself after a while for certain items?
I had a lost of power issue but no light came on. this was traced to a faulty EGR valve. I changed the valve which fixed the problem but after 2 engine starts the EML light came on with code P1408, (EGR valve position out of range on start up test). Turned the light off but after 2 engine starts it came back on.
However after about 2 weeks and about 600 miles the light did not stay on and a week later has stayed off. So has the car re-set itself. I've not scanned it for codes as i don't want to upset anything. Cheers in advance.
