can anyone recommend me where I can get the DVD player on my CLS enabled for it to be played whilst the vehicle is on drive/ motion?

I would also like to get CarPlay installed, anyone retro fitted this?

This has been asked several times as you will find if you search the Forum.

It is illegal in the UK for a video to be played whilst a vehicle is in motion when it can be viewed by the driver. Almost everyone asking claims it is "just for the passenger to watch" but it would be distracting for the driver hence it being disabled by Mercedes.

No reputable company is likely to offer this service.

www.comand.co.uk will be able to tell you if Apple CarPlay can be activated for your car.

If it can't, then you can still get it via a third-party interface, but it is not cheap.

As for Video-in-Motion... no we won't tell you how to do it, nor will we tell you where you can buy good weed or where you can get fake passports.

I will get you some good weed and a fake passport if you tell me :) :) :) Lol, I’m kidding.

I do get you guys, it’s dangerous.....

I too asked the same question, i will say they are playing nice with you. I thought I was going to be hunted down and shot :D:D
I decided because in the case of an accident if they knew it worked on the move I could not prove i was not watching it, although I am still in shock that some think a driver would watch it on the move. Have you all not seen Bird Box, driving without looking doesn't end well for anyone.o_Oo_O

It is bad enough with some "idiots" driving around using mobile phones and not "fully in control of their vehicle". Imagine if you get hit by someone who was watching a "DVD on the move", don't think you would be too impressed.

your right, I agree with you but i will certainly ask where they got the DVD player enabled from :-) :-)

The answer is always the same: "A bloke at the pub offered me this for fifty quid, he worked on my car in the car park at the back, I think his name was Kevin or Melvin or something, and no I don't have his telephone number".

I said on the last thread, and I'll repeat it because I seriously believe the outcome of anyone being involved in a serious/fatal accident and it's proven that a DVD was playing regardless of who was watching it, will result in at least a couple of years jail time.
