Enabling DVD player

Hi

I have seen that the DVD player on S-class (Model Year 2001) can be enabled? How do you do that? Is this simple or do you need to remove dash etc etc.

Also, is it possible to enable (on another car) the TV in a car that was not purchased with the TV option - is there a part you can buy etc.

Hi,

You need to buy a DVD player, have it installed and also an interface to the COMAND unit, such as the MB TV tuner ot the megacomm multimedia adaptor to all the DVD player to talk to the COMAND.

For just TV only, you need to purchase and install the MB TV Tuner itself.

thanks for the reply. I noticed on your signature you have the DVD enabled on a CL - which I believe is the same COMAND as mine. Which DVD player do you have and is it actually mounted in the car somewhere or do you just plug in a portable unit whenever you need to and use the COMAND screen.
