Engine chips and Insurance

I doubt any insurer would even have the equipment to check all the various car ECU's in today's world. Even if they did, would they bother in the event of a claim? Methinks not.

It all depends on the claim you make. If it's a reasonably small one with no injuries almost certainly not. On the other hand if you plough into a bus stop crowded with schoolkids and kill several almost certainly yes.

I do have limited mileage and a cheaper base car - but that does seem steep!

Will yours be making an appearance at Glojos ?

I also have insurance on another car and used the max no claims on the E320 with a 4,000 mile limit. I declared the garage break-in even though I didn't make a car insurance claim.

I was all set to bring it to Torquay but I managed to snap an exhaust stud yesterday. If I can fix it in a minute I may still make it.
