Engine clean

Hey all,

Decided to give my engine a good clean today using Autoglym Engine and machine cleaner and Autoglym Vinyl and rubber care.

It looks pretty okay so far (picture doesnt do justice), but one thing I cant clean is the engine head as shown by the arrow. Any ideas on this or does it mean it needs to be painted.

yo. I just started mine at the start of the week.

Mine started off all yellow, someone mentioned its the laquer put on that has started to flake. heres the thread

So i sanded the stuff down and the actual engine to bear metal. Im now planning on painting the cam cover just to make it look prettier.

Dremmel rotary will help you get the cover to new condition.

that's sparkling, i wouldnt worry about trying to get it any cleaner
