    Good evening!
Little help please. This morning car started fine as always, after 9 miles the engine completely shut down. Would turn over but not fire. After leaving it a couple of minutes it fired up and ran as normal but the engine management light was on.
After leaving the car all day I started the car and all was fine, took it to have the diagnostics checked and no fault. After approximately 9 miles it cut out again. I have been told it could be the crank sensor, has anyone had a fault similar?
    Thanks

That does sound like a symptom of a failing CPS.
Get it on STAR to read the fault codes stored .
Mine recently failed and threw up the code P2034-008 L5.
I had exactly the same fault as you, and it will get worse.
FYI a new sensor is around a £200 repair at an indi'. Main dealer will be more.

Thanks guys, as always this forum never fails. Will take it in Monday. A bit gutted as it's the first time it has missed a beat. Have good one!
