Today, the engine diagnostic warning lamp lit up, and the engine is not running at full power, although it's not a cause for concern, the car can still safely travel at motorway speeds.

Over the past week or so, I've been filling up with diesel from Sainsbury's (to cut costs), and wondering if this is causing it? I'll fill up with BP Ultimate from tomorrow to see if it solves the problem.

The car is due a service in 1200 miles anyway (which I'll do in a week), so I can get it looked at then if the light doesn't go out until then. Just wondering if the car is still safe to drive in the meantime until then, or shall I get it looked at ASAP, if the light doesn't go out in the next couple of days after filling up with BP fuel?

It will be safe to drive and I doubt it is the fuel you are using. Get it on the Star and see what comes up!
