Engine ECU

Hi all, does anybody know the procedure for changing the engine "ECU" as mine has got oil inside and is not working properly.
The car is a C class C180 Manual. Thanks for any help.

AFAIK this problem is cause by oil migrating along the engine wiring loom from the front camshaft timing adjuster In order to effect a reliable repair These items have to be repaired/cleaned/replaced in addition to the ENGINE ECU or the problem will rapidly recur. This problem is so common Mercedes introduced a wiring modification to prevent this happening. Some people have tried to clean all the components of oil contamination with mixed results. I hope someone with direct experience of this will be along to advise you shortly.
