I have a W210 E220CDI 1999 model automatic, Display showing engine fan visit workshop and the engine fan runs constantly on full speed as soon as i turn the key. It is like a jet trying to take off in there. All fuses are ok . Is there a control unit for this fan? where is it located? what can be the possible causes of this ?

It is a malfunction in the engine controller or temp sensor or perhaps its wiring.

Where is the temp sensor for the engine fan in my car?
engine control? you mean ECU?

Fan relay

There is an fan relay box under the driver s headlight that controls the speed of the fan.You will have to change that.
