Engine fault picture came up then no power?

I took my C200 cab to Llandudno from Manchester today, okay on the way there but the engine warning light came on and I immediately lost power on hills. Limped back home to Manchester. Will book it in with my Warrington dealer 2morro but has anyone had a similar problem and know how serious or not might it be?

I’m sure the dealer will find out using their diagnostics equipment, it could be caused by many things.

Are you in the AA, RAC or another recovery company? They have good diagnostic equipment and offer home start cover as an option. If not, it might be worth joining - they cost will probably be less than Mercedes diagnostic charges. They’ll certainly attend more promptly.

When you say lost power, were the revs limited to a specific RPM?

First thought is the Air Flow sensor (sometimes referred to as MAF).

If you are at all handy , buy an icarsoft code reader for £100 ish

Do you have Mobilio recovery at the moment if you have full MB history you will . They will come out and diagnose the car for free
