engine fault

my 250 td elegance was in good condition with low mileage engine etc, and then after being stood up for a few months, it now won't start- engine fan spinning but will not turn over. Any ideas? Had an auto- electrician out, but he was useless

Are saying you have no cranking at all?

Do you get ignition lights on?

Do you hear a click?
