Engine light and Adblue issue

Fault with the Adblue pump. Wiring needs to be checked but more than likely needs an Adblue tank.

Sorry to be negative....but search this forum for adblue issues.....it's a rubbish system, rubbish design and very unreliable and they fail all the time and need a four figure sum.to fix. Lots on this forum would never by an Adblue equipped Mercedes for those reasons....I'm one of them. That's the bad news over! Good news....not much!.... except it can be mapped out completely for not much money and although thats not technically legal, the chances of being caught are virtually nil.
Adblue experts will be along shortly....
.......Happy Christmas!

Yeah. Get the lot deleted from the ECU and carry on as normal. 👍👍

Here in Somerset I found a local diagnostics specialist who identifies and repairs Ad Blue problems for much less than the main dealer.
He took a bit of finding, but hopefully you might just find someone where you are?

My MOT tester simply looks for smoke , if none , it's a pass .
Its true that they have to pass a visible smoke test..... but they also have to pass a metered emissions test.... the levels of which varies dependant on the car. It should be lower that the plated value on the plate under the bonnet.... in my cars case 0.5.....if no plate is fitted than it has to be less than predetermined average values defined in the testers handbook which varies depending on its age and whether its a turbo or not. So just being not able to see the smoke is not a pass.
