Hi folks over the past 2 months my engine management light has come on and my kick down stops working, it still revs past 2tho and sports mode works normally so not going into safe mode.Just the kick down is not working?
Its done it twice now and both times its happened it has righted itself by morning and everythings working as it should be.
Did it again this morning 3rd time now but by the time I finished it had reset and was working OK again?
The dilemma I have is that it's out of warranty now, had a read up on Google and read a few comments about changing gearbox oil can solve the issue.
Before I go and have mercedes plug star in at £70 has anyone else had the same problem, and can something as simple as an oil change sort it out.
Also read it's around £500 ish for a gearbox oil change
is this about right.
