engine management light has just appeared on the dash do i have to go to the dealer to get this sorted ??

Need to get the car onto STAR to find out what's wrong. Could be any number of things.

A good Indie would be your best bet

What are the symptoms & what model/year is the car,have you called mb 24 assistance if your car qualifies as they have star onboard?

no symptoms mate, i have a w203 on a 54 plate, it only appears occasionally:S

You should notice a difference in mpg(less)while eml is on,get it on star to find out what the problem is.
