I,ve just recently got a w212 220cdi estate..a 12 plate and notice that when the engine is in half load ( about 1500 to 2000 revs) and possibly climbing there's a gruff noise from the drivers side....I can't decide whether it's a heat shield or not..I read a few articles about the dreaded injector problems and wondered what the symptoms are...it runs fine and quiet mostly and kick down is not as noisy....and thoughts folks?
