Just out of interest , following on from the 3000 rev in top gear speed thing.

What temp does everyones engine get to normally when its warmed up.

C240 = 80
C180 K = 90
E220 CDI = 85

C240 == 80 - 85°C depending on whether it was hot summer's day or a cold winter one.

E320 In between 80-85. I panic when it gets to 90 lol

Mine tends to run a touch over 80, but it has a hard life.

just over 80 degrees for me (Have been told that the thermostat should open at 87)

2.3=82 (never moves).

Mind you the internal temp' rises sharply when the 3 kids are fighting in the back:crazy:

I took my 190E out for its first long run since I bought it today and the needle hovered just under 80 at a steady 60MPH but rose to just over 80 when stuck in traffic. From what I have seen on this thread,that sounds about right, whooopeeee !!

1989 230TE sits at 80 99% of the time - prolonged sitting in traffic on hot days and it creeps up to the 90s until the fan kicks in then it's straight back down again.
