Engine number w124? Where is it located?

Hi everyone, does anyone know the location of the engine number on a w124 e220 coupe 1995?

Right on the slam panel.

I believe that is an M111 engine. Twin-cam, 4-cylinder, 16 valves and Bosch Motronic injection.

The panel the bonnet catch locates into. Runs across the front of the car between the headlights.

The engine number is on the engine but I'd be lying if I said I knew where. It should also be on the slam panel on the VIN, on the V5 and on the build card in the back of the service book
