Engine oil CLK 500

My CLK 500 (2004) has just been serviced. I have put in Castrol Edge 0/30W oil. Since the oil change, it seems to me that there is slightly more mechanical noise from the engine...0/40 or 5/40 oil has been used previously. Will the engine be ok on 0/30w or should I cut my losses and change oil again for, say, a 5/40w?

If the packaging quotes MB229.3 or 229.5 you're OK. If not, replace with Mobil 1 at £20/4 litres from CostCo.

I would go for the 5/40 or a 10/40 which is still thin.

Confirm that the packaging quotes MB229.3 or 229.5
In retospect, I think the oil may be too thin and, as Lynall says, perhaps I shold go for a slightly thicker oil?

Hello, just looked on the Opie Oils website, they show a 5W40 grade for both CLK500 that they list, maybe the 0W30 is a bit thin, hope this helps, regards Damian.
