Engine oil dipstick

Hi Guys
The following is not meant to have sexual connotations, couldnt find any other way to phrase it though
My dipstick does not click in nice and tight anymore. It looks like the rubber ring maybe worn down. No oil is letting by.
Do I need to change the ring or does it matter if I leave it?

Leave it. No reason for it to fit tight as the engine should have positive breathing into the inlet manifold.
