Hello people does any1 know what type of manual oil pump and where i can buy one to drain engine oil on my 2003 c220 cdi coupe.....

I have the well-known Chuan Jiing CJ-169-s extractor pump. :p

That's what arrived when I ordered a Sealey TP69. I would imagine both pump models are the same item badged differently.

Regardless of badging, I'm very impressed with my Chuan Jiing. Highly recommended. :D

Pela.

I bought a Pela 6000 and it does what it says on the box, although to say it isn't quick is an understatement. Set it going at the start of the service, and by the time you've done all the filters and whatnots it should be ready. It did manage to extract an amount equal to the quoted capacity on my son's Seat, so I shouldn't worry about leaving any oil in the sump.

Also good with Soy Sauce and some prawn crakers I hear.

Good point Stratman - and the oil needs to be plenty warm or forget it.
On the plus side, the Pela is a sturdy thing, stable on its foot, and handy for other domestic jobs.

Mine is the sealey tp69, had it for years and very pleased with it but it only holds 6.5ltrs. If i replaced it, i would go for the larger capacity model.

I bought a Pela 6000 3 weeks ago to do a oil change on my C180, worked like a dream, extracted all oil as shown on dashboard computer. If you decide on one you wont be disappointed, just make sure oil is hot first ( 5 mile run should be ok) . You will never crawl under the car again, whole job done in 1/2 hour and no mess.

Totally agree..
I have a Pela that I bought over 10 years ago..
The speed of oil extraction is fine as long as the engine is hot...
I also suck out the dreggs from within the oil filter housing...

Oh and I have even sucked out the ATF after an "official change of ATF and filter" to replace with more fresh ATF..
I do this because with newer models you can only drain off around 4.5 litres of ATF.. Therefore you are replacing only around 50% or so..
Anyway Im starting to wander off the original topic !
