hi guys. will a 0-40w be ok for my 1999 c240? the car has done 92k miles. mobile 1 is prob the best choice right? looking to give it an oil change this week so any quick tips would be excellent.

Yup Mobile1 very good choice probably the best, btw did you get my PM

Wouldn't bother with 0w-40 Fully sny oil. The 240 engine tends to drink a bit of oil, and the thin oil won't help the situation especially at 92k.

I would stick with a decent brand semi syn 10w40, and save a few £s in the process.

thanks mate. yeah i was thinking to go semi syn cos of the mileage. ive read somewhere that 10w-50 would be good also. whats the difference between 10w-40 and 10w-50? which should i go for?

thanks.

hi guys. i went to Mercedes yesterday and picked up a oil filter for £12. then went over to halfords and got 6 Ltrs of "mobil Super S" 10W40. if this oil ok to use? just need to make sure before i do the oil change as it can be exchanged if its not the right one. there was "mobil 1" oil but they were 0w 40 only. whats this mobil Super S stuff like? thanks. also is 6 ltrs enough for my 240? thanks.
