This is 1995 C280. Initially auxillary fans were not coming on. The fuse in K9 Auxiliary Fan Relay was blown. After changing the fuse, auxillary fans work when I let the engine run in the garage with A/C on. But during stop'n'go traffic, temp gauge goes about 110 and engine stalls. then I have to wait for about 20 minutes, temp gauze lowers down to about 85 and the starts as if nothing happened.

CEL is on and code is P0505 idle control system malfunction. Any ideas please to check if thermostat is culprit? or stealer is the only option?

Please help.
Thanks.
