Engine "rewinds"

You are impeding my train of thought. and if you don't behave I will get out my right hand rule and rap you on the knuckles with it.

Do you think the puns are getting a bit stretched now ?

Better and better!

I have to tall you that I have now seen the copper wire wrapped around the motor of my washing machine! I am such a magical lady. My husband informed me when I got home from work last evening at there was something wrong with the machine, so I googled about it, then removed and cleaned the filter, checked the pump impeller was turning, removed the back and checked the belt was still on, watched the motor go around, cleaned everything I could find and hey presto, I'm 'currently' doing laundry! I am not a lady to be trifled with when it comes to trying to fix things! AND I'm £4.10 better off having discovered coins in various places in the machine.

Initially, I was planning to buy another at Currys, but then I realised I would have problems disposing of the old one. Any road up, it's fixed and I have magical powers!

Your husband had better hope you don't Google "getting a more useful husband"...

Back on topic.

I broke my ankle, so I can't drive, but I can bus...

No, E55bof, it's okay, my husband, after supporting the family as an employee of the CAA for decades, is severely disabled with a heart condition. He simply hasn't the energy to sort things. I should have made that clear, you weren't aware, how could you have been?

Nevertheless, :o:o:o

It had better be, Tricky! A big part of my job is reviewing documents before they go to Adjudication, Arbitration and the Law Courts!

Oh, and panpan, you are in the aviation industry ?
Sorry to disappoint, the only connection I have with the aviation industry is, I'm generally travelling through life flying by the seat of my pants.
