Engine shaking when turning off

My 2003 e320 cdi w211 i6 116.000 miles shakes when turning it off. Is this just because of the high compression ratio or do the engine mounts need replacing?

If they've never been done, they almost certainly need reeplacing.

I had the same problem with my ML it was the engine mounts

I am tempted to change the mounts my self but I would have to remove the centre underbody cover single handed. Is this feasible?

Also do I have to unbolt both mounts before it will let me jack up the engine? I was thinking of doing the easy side (passenger, left) first!

Any thoughts and tips appreciated.
