Just thought I would gauge interest.
I am working on a next gen console game that features a lot of city based driving. We are testing new methods of modelling engine sounds and will be looking to record a wide variety of cars for potential use in the final product - everything from taxis to TVRs - even diesel BMWs
.
The recording process is very similar to a rolling road day, except we are using DynaPacks, as a drum roller would obviously create too much noise. The process takes about 45mins per car including setup. If you think you may be interested then post a reply with the car and engine specs / mods. Obviously we don't need 10 recordings of the same engine, but variations can be useful. A 4/6/8/12 cylinder lineup would be useful for the first session (Surrey).
All dates and sessions to be confirmed - the project is based over a few years so don't expect to see anything in the shops by christmas! You should get a free dyno reading of your car and the possibility it makes it into the game. The session is done by a professional team and you would be expected to sign a contract for ownership rights of the recordings to the company.
Thanks,
