Engine Speed at 70MPH

I have a 2002 CLK320,
Can anyone tell me what sort of engine speed I can expect to see at 70MPH
The car is an auto

Thought it was running a bit fast, on previous car a Volvo S80, I was down at 1900-2000

I had a W208 CLK320 and yes 70mph was about 2400rpm..

I checked mine last night on the way back down the M11. At a "GPS" speed of 70 the engine was doing just over 2400.

Things have changed my 7g box shows 1700revs at 70mph
