(Newbie) so bare with me since this is my first post.

I just recently bought a 1972 R107 450sl and I also bought a 2002 C209 with the 4.3 v8. My goal is to take as much as I can from the 2002 and put it in the 1972. Below are the questions that I am seeking answers for.

1. what are the steps to mount the engine to the old car?
2. I assume taking the whole Ecu and wiring harness out of the c209. What do I delete and what do I use out of the wire harness.
3. What steps would I need to take to take the whole suspension and drivetrain and mount it to the r107.
4. Anyone have experience swapping air conditioning into the r107?

So if anyone can help me get answers to these questions I would greatly appreciate it.

FWIW......

First get yourself a offline copy of WIS.

My comment and opinion;

You may find it easier and have a better finished product if you take the 72 body attached to the 2002 chassis.

Review the following, to get an idea as to why. Totally different chassis, but a much better conversion
