Hello i got a 1995 w202 c180 with broken timing chain and i got a donor car 1995 c 200 engine what is the easyest way to swap the engine? with or without gearbox and do i need to change something else? both got automatic transmission

Stand on the inner wings with a rope around the engine and heave...make sure you've had your shredded wheat first though.

think i will use a engine lifter to get it out but can i just swap engine or do i have to swap something else?

Given the choice I would swap the gearbox and differential as well, but you don't have to.

Okay will swap the gearbox too, the differential on the donor car has asd and the other car dont have asd so i think it will be hard?

Be careful that you know what you are taking apart and can put it back together as a wrong connection will damage your electrics and ECU

okay think i can do it got a german workshop manual for the w202 also getting help from a friend that has experience with engine swap so i think it will go
