Hello people!
I’ve been stalking this site for a long time every time I needed an answer to do with my CLA, so thought I’d put the effort in and join.
I recently picked up a 2020 GLC 300d which before buying it I spotted it had an outstanding recall, I rung Merc’s to find out what it was for and was told it was for the coolant valve and software update to go with it, nothing to do with emissions luckily enough, so went ahead and bought the car.
After they have done what they needed to do plus also giving the car a service I’ve noticed the temperature gauge take a little longer to reach 90c. It does get there, doesn’t fluctuate and doesn’t go past it, car runs fine and still getting about 37 mpg for a 3.9 mile drive. Educated guess is it’s the software update altering what’s going on with the cooling system and when valves and thermostats are opening up.
Just wanted some input from anybody else who might have had this recall done and rough warm up times to get to 90c.
Thanks
