Engine temp c220 cdi 2010 model

Hi guys

What temp should my engine run at? It currently runs at about 90 degrees. Which is ten degrees above the middle of the gauge.

Should my gauge be at the middle in normal engine temperature? I have checked the water in the cooling system and all seems fine.

Any advice is appreciated.

i have a 250cdi and i'm pretty sure it runs at around 90 degrees as well.

90c is the correct temperature. Everything normal.

My W204 indicates 90C day in, day out, all year round for years now.

Hi, when I first bought my car I had the same doubt, but 90 degrees is normal. Most other manufacturers have guages set so that the operating temp is set for the needle to be in the middle.

Cheers guys. Just misleading as needle is more towards hot than middle. But thanks for confirming.

i've checked mine and it actually sits at 85 degrees now since i have had a new thermostat and water pump.

90 = normal, can rise in traffic, should never hit 95 though.
