Engine Under tray

Should my 1989 300SE have an engine under tray fitted?

All the 190's I have owned have had them so I was a bit surprised to find my S-Class without one.

Should it have one that has maybe been left off by a previous owner or garage?

Would of thought it should have one, but would not worry about it, at my old dealership used to extract the engine oil via dipstick tube or 13mm sump plug. which is all ways better.

nope, unless it had the sump guard option.
