Engines According to Halfords

Year's ago i went in to Halfords to buy a Magnex exhaust for my Clio 16v after the assistant looked in his book for about 5 minutes and making a few tutting noises he actually asked me " Are you sure it is a Clio 16v" at which point i decided Demmon tweeks was probably my best option!...Halfords now only supply my everyday car cleaning stuff on 3 for 2 days.

Tony.

I bought a bulb from Halfords once, that's as far as I'm willing to trust them.

I once got them to fit a set of tyres to my retired father's car.
It was only some months later, when I came to service his brakes, that I discovered that all the wheel nuts were rounded off, as the prat who fitted them had used the incorrect socket.
I'm sorry if that an insult to prats !

I often pop into a local Tesco convenience store for bread, milk, etc., which is located a couple of doors away from a Halfrauds store and quite frequently see one of their staff on the car park with the bonnet up on customers cars... 'cringe'...

Overheard a conversation between one of them and a Mercedes owner who said he had a problem with a fuse which kept blowing. The advice was to put a higher amp fuse in, which the customer was quite happy to accept.

Blind leading the blind?

^^ that was brave- are you sure you purchased the right one?

Funny you should ask that :D No it was wrong

The moral of this story is don't place too much faith in the little guide books on the shelves .

Yes absolutely! :thumb:
