Enhanced power and economy

Hi All,

I recently asked about how to improve performance and/or gain better economy for my slightly older W210 turbo diesel.

I wanted to share with you something which has helped me

BG 44K Fuel additive

In simple terms i was getting an average of 29mpg from my car doing the same 80 mile return journey each day ame timesdriving style etc (as much as traffic permits of course)

I then added BG 44K and not only have a i noticed a slight kick in responsiveness and performance but my mpg has not gone up to an average for that journey of

34.5!!!!!!! i am retty impressed and quite chuffed

Cost me £20 for a can from Kwik Fit, but sure it is available online elsewhere too.

44K is dual fuel and hence safe to use with both petrol and diesel engines. 244 is diesel only. They both have the same cleaning power but 244 has additional additives to improve cetane rating, lubricate the diesel pump etc.

yes i used the dual fuel option as that is the only one Kwik Fit stocked !
