EPC light

I have a C220 Elegance diesel mercedes 1998 it has run perfectly for a year and i have just developed a couple of faults that i hope some one can advise me on

When driving if i slow down the EPC light flashes and i then stall the car restarts immediatly after switching off

If the car is warm and idling i have a erratic idle between 700 and 1250 rpm

When driving the auto box also feels lumpy

My EPC light came on after I ran out of fuel and while cranking the engine after refilling. My gear box is lumpy at low speed in traffic, if I go back on the throttle quickly after lifting off it. Any answers.
