Erisin into 2005 W209

Good morning
I just got a CLK280, registered Sept 2005, that currently has the standard Audio 20 head unit

I intend to fit an Erisin unit and am looking at the ES8189C

However its says in big letters on the listing that it has a facia of 260x120x240mm and will not fit a car with 254 by 120 by 238

My car appears to be the smaller size, so my question is - has anyone any direct experience of fitting an Erisin in such a car? When did Mercedes change the facia size by such a small amount?

Let me try a second question then.. has anyone replaced an Audio 20 unit with either

1) any Erisin unit

or

2) A generic double din kit such as

Have you thought about replacing the facia?
Hopefully someone else will know if it is possible as they are around £30 on ebay.

HI thanks for the reply. Yes, of course I will replace the facia.. all Erisin units, and the kit I linked to incldue new facias.

I also had read that thread, thanks - it also refers to the confusion of the 260 or 254mm width, without any clear resolution.

I have seen no evidence of a 254mm facia actually existing in a CLK though!

Hence the question - is there anyone here that has replaced an Audio 20 with one of these units, please?
