Error Code P2404

I had an error message come up yesterday, I read the code and its P2404, I cannot find a reference as to what this might be, can anyone give me a clue as to what to look at please

Im not sure if the diesels have a vapour recovery system as diesel doesnt evaporate like petrol does.

Evap valve on mine is on the passengers side inner wing, iirc read on yank sites if fuel cap left off same fault comes up.

P2xxx are vendor-specific codes - looks like P2404 could well be the stop lamp switch - was the error meesage related to ESP or traction control?

My friend was driving at the time and she says a message about the ABS flashed up BTW its a 2001 W210 E240, I will check the brake light switch as I expect that is in the ABS circuit
