Hi all,
New to the forum and to Mercs, recently bought a 2003 C220 2.2 Auto. Runs really well bar a couple of minor issues. Took it into my local garage today for a look over and came up with a load of error codes. He wasn't sure if they were stored codes or historical and not cleared (if I've understood him correctly).
Anyway, It's come up with the combo of P2500, P220A, P2502. I've done some reading about what they are, and obviously a little concerned. However according to the other posts I've read, most seem to have noticed problems. However with mine, it runs smoothly through all the gears, no noises, good as. She's got a FSH, about half from Merc at the beginning, 94k on the clock with one owner. I was thinking perhaps it had some work done on it in the past at a non merc garage who couldn't clear the fault codes, or possibly the garage it was serviced at when I bought it told me that they changed the transmission fluid and filter and it hadn't been done for a while.
Any words of wisdom from someone perhaps?
