Hi everybody.
For over a year I have been trying to track down the perfect LED sidelights with various results, whether they run too hot, not bright enough, cause dashboard errors or simply look too blue/purple, where as I wanted them to be as white as possible.
I have a limited number 12v W5W LED lights which I have imported from America which finally are the answer to all these problems.
These lights are extremely high quality products available in either 5000k (Pure White) or 8000k (Extreme blue), each 'bulb' has 8 LEDs providing a clean, crisp light in all directions.
Unlike many of the LEDs which have been available for sometime, these have load resistors built into them which prevent CANBUS errors which would normally display 'bulb out' error messages appearing on your dashboard. In addition to this, the bulbs are cool to the touch and have no heat problems and no risk of melting wiring looms which has been known on cheaper versions in the past.
W211 Owners with pre-facelift cars, The LED's are the perfect substitution for the OEM LED bulbs which Mercedes fitted to facelift Xenon highlight units. The OEM units are not available without purchasing a complete pair of light clusters from the dealers costing hundreds of pounds per side!
MBClub UK forum price is £16 per set + Delivery. A detailed fitting guide will be included in with every set.
Please note: unlike the countless eBay ones available - most with questionable quality and can be a gamble, these bulbs are tried and tested, offer the perfect colours (true white, or blue) and are extremely well made, I can guarantee the quality on all, as all have been tested by myself.
Below are a series of W211 E-Class photos demonstrating the difference between the standard Non-LED bulbs supplied with the cars, and the LED's. The difference is clear to see.
The same bulbs, fitted to my W202:
Here you can see the whiteness compared to the standard fog lights:
