ESP defective

Hi everyone,
Got w211 320cdi and ESP light come on yesterday,engine stopped and will not start. After trying to reset it comes up with 'esp not available diagnostics/Rig test"
Any ideas anyone please?????

Flat battery? Happened to me tge other day in my s211

Just installed New battery still the same.

Is the new battery flat? Have you measured the voltage on it?

Old battery is 11.8v and New one 12.3v. Thanks.

It's worth changing at £12 to rule it out. A simple job that takes 10 mins or so.
If it doesn't a STAR readout should confirm if you have a faulty sensor or not.

Star only does MB and my car doest start so i can't take it there.

Can used battery control module be reprogrammed for my car and i guess only MB can do that??????
