ESP light on followed by the engine light.

I'm new to this forum and I have a Mercedes c200 kompressor.
The ESP light is on followed by the engine light. I had this hooked up to a machine and it gave me the codes - PO130 and PO101. I'm a women and can't say I know anything about cars so if anyone can enlighten me I'd be very grateful

Makes no difference if you are a woman or not. The error code is just a hint.

When you have enough hints gathered you can form a diagnosis. The error does do not always mean just one thing.

Sounds like a front fuse box issue. The two systems are generally unrelated unless of course you have water damage inside the car or two unique and unrelated problems or someone has butchered the wiring harness and it is making contact to ground.

CANBUS-C defects can cause the errors as can ignition switch or front fuse box.

Ok I will see if someone can locate my fuse box and check that first of. Also is it worth disconnecting the battery to clean the mass air flow sensor as one of them codes seem to mention something along them lines? But would something like that flag up the engine light?
