Hi Everyone,
I have a problem of ESP light, also Speedtronic inoperable, and Parktronic inoperable, on my C220 cdi (W203) I had the experience on my previous car (W202) of the brake light switch causing a problem with the speedtronic system, could it be that the brake light switch is the cause of my current problems. I fixed the problem on the W202 by cleaning the contacts on the brake light switch. I would be grateful for any suggestions.
Many thanks,
donr

yes I think its the brake light switch makes this problem .... once the ESP light up the speedtronic as well as the parktronic are shut off ....

ESP, Speedtronic,& Parktronic problem

Many thanks to Ladham, this has now given me the incentive to get at the brake light switch and see the condition of it. The only disincentive at the moment is the weather here (as elsewhere in Europe, I guess) snow and ice and freezing cold. I can live with the faults until the weather improves a little. Thanks again

I want to get to my brake light switch, to check the condition of it, but on quick inspection did not find it behind the brake pedal as I expected. To save me fruitless hunting for the switch, can anybody confirm that it will be located behind the pedal inside the car. If not, any hint of where to find it please.
Thanks,
donr

:o Sorry that I did not mention the model and year of the car. It is a C220cdi Avantgarde SE Estate (W203) and the year is 2007. When you mention the brake booster, is this what I would know as the Servo Unit ? Many thanks for your help.

Many thanks for the info, it is most helpful. I did not realise, at first, that the string of symbols was a link !
Presumably the symbols are Russian language symbols ?:thumb:
