Hi all
I recently got a message up on my w204 2008 c220 cluster saying esp unavailable. And It has caused to car to seriously lose power. At best restricted revs to 3k and now almost no response at all but a great deal of black exhaust fumes.
The wife filled the car with diesel then allowed it to run almost empty, I assumed a blocked fuel filter so I changed it. At firsts it ran perfect and esp warning cleared and engine light cleared but over 2 days it deteriorated back to loss of power. The car starts fine but then withing seconds of the esp and engine lights coming on it starts to revert to what I can only explain as limp mode, power starts to reduce and engine struggle. If the lights go out it regains power. I read a few post and see that a break light swith or new battery can clear this. I put a multi meter on the battery and got 12.1 v and 14.6v when running. Has anyone had any experience of this?
